Pete

acrylic on canvas paper, 12" x 9"

My late partner Roy had a great friend in Pete, who's portrait I've painted in honor of the great friend himself.  I'll be seeing him and his wife Jacqui next month in Cornwall for the first time in a decade.  Can't wait!

Cornish Cows

oil on panel, 18" x 24"

This painting was a distraction that served a purpose. That's all I have to say about it.

Pete and Roy

acrylic on panel, 24" x 12"

This painting of my deceased partner Roy and his great friend Pete was done from a rather poor quality photo I had taken of them walking down a lane in Bodmin, Cornwall and approaching a group of Morris Dancers off to the right.  I loved how in sync these great friends were in their body language and movements, complete with hands in pockets, strides, and visual focus, as if they were choreographed!

La La Land

acrylic on canvas, 20" x 20"

I just felt like transporting myself to a fantasy land, and this is where I went with that.  I may have another go at it, but for now, it goes in the time-out room.  I've been reading Hockney's "A Bigger Message" and I can see his influence pretty clearly here.

On the Way to Bathpool

acrylic on canvas, 20" x 20"

This is a palette knife painting of a scene somewhere in Devon, I vaguely recall, that whooshed by me on the train to Plymouth to see friends in Cornwall last year.

Bathpool

iPad painting, 10" x 14"

The entrance to one of my favorite places on earth, Bathpool, an idyllic village in Cornwall, England.
