Aross the Divide

With this painting, I was experimenting with placing the figure of the cow in an unfamiliar environment.  I'm wanting to get more abstract in my paintings.  I might go back in for some tweaking of this one later.  Updated 5/2/2026:  I've done a bit of tweaking.

Citron Sunset

I tried to create an ethereal quality in the atmosphere of this scene that celebrates the color yellow.  It also celebrates mauve, lavender and orange, a beautiful color combo imho.

I've been sitting with this painting for a while, wondering whether it's finished or not.  I've done quite a few of these "bird girl" paintings and I think there might be one or two more in me before I'm done.

Floralescent

The title of this painting contains a double entendre, as the inspiration for it is a painter named Flora Yukhovich.  It's another in my abstracted botanicals series.
