This is a palette knife painting done from a photo I found online. I've been wanting to do city scenes and high-rises in particular, and I really love palm trees. So, it was very satisfying to combine the two in one image.
Another 10-minute sketch done whilst on a walk with the dogs. They are forcing me to work faster, which is probably not a bad thing. I have no idea what kind of tree this is. Could be a pine, could be a palm. Never seen another like it, that I can recall.
This is an abstract painting from my imagination sparked by a desire to paint a gorgeous purple and white bearded iris that opened as I was leaving the ranch this past week. As you can see, it morphed into something else entirely. At least I kept to the plant world, sort of. I do enjoy working without a concrete plan, just to see what happens.
