Jade

oil on panel, 8" x 8"

This is a portrait of Jade, my friend Eva's daughter.  Eva's husband was my partner Roy's twin brother.  I may tweak it a bit before varnishing.  I'm going to spend some time with Eva in the U.K. soon and will bring it with me to give to her.

Wild Things

oil on panel, 20" x 20"

A flower painting which looks like the end of summer to me.  I'm already mourning the imminent loss.

Coneflower with Bee

oil on aluminum panel, 8" x 8"

Continuing my love affair with the metal surface, here's a little expression of summer for me.  I attempted this painting a few years ago but wiped it when I wasn't happy with the result.  I guess it was just waiting for the opportunity to be painted on metal!

Summer Song

oil on aluminum panel, 6" x 6"

This little palette knife painting was just me playing with my new love, the metal surface.

A Warm Sunny Day

acrylic on canvas paper, 12" x 12"

Here's a little abstract composition I doodled the other day while bemoaning the end of summer.

Kim's Abundant Summer
